Posted by Ix Techau about 7 years ago · 461 replies

Squad rules terminology refresher:

  • We can register up to 25 players who are over 21
  • We can register a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players
  • Homegrown player means 36 months spent in England before end of season in which they turn 21
  • U21 player means any player born on or after January 1st 1996
  • U21 players don't have to be registered in order to play, which means we can have as many as we want

Confirmed transfers in/out:

  • Lacazette has signed for a club record £46m initial fee
  • Sanogo left on a free transfer on June 30th
  • Kolasinac joined on a free transfer on July 1st
  • Ospina has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Lucas Perez has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Wojciech Szczesny has joined Juventus for £10m

Likely transfers in/out:

  • Debuchy leaving has been on the cards for some time
  • Jenkinson could go on another season-long loan or permanent move
  • Unless said in jest, Wenger did say he wants to bid on Mahrez

Reading some of the suggestions that were posted here... Looks like Arsenalreport has finally gone full retard. Bring back Cesc? Young players will look up to him? To who? The cunt who stabbed us in the back? Cretins.

Knowing Aguero, he'll be injured for at least 30% of the season

But still he can assure you 20 goals per season with his injury record.. But nevertheless he won't be interested in moving to Arsenal..

Instead we should get the money and buy one of Draxler/Lemar/Auba as a replacement... with only a day left to do transfer business, we may end up with some panic buys... Though we can raid on PSG for Draxler & Lucas Moura to replace Alexis & Ox.. and PSG will be very much interested to do business after signing Neymar & Mbape for record fees..

Confusing David Ornstein‏ claims Arsenal will sell OX who will earn less money in Liverpool then here, we won't replace him, and we don't have money for more signings( Arsenal count the wage for few years when counting transfer money). But we sold Ox, Gibbs, Szczesny, Gabriel and we will sell Perez too. That's a lot of wages removed and a lot of transfer money for one big signing.

Kroenke absolutely needs to die. ASAP.

Where's VA10, he can usually spin something positive out of all this, which is quite possibly the worst state our clubs ever been in with context

I could understand his statement if we managed to extend Sanchez and Ozil with big money contract, but that's not being the case here.. maybe the transfer kitty of 150m got expired as soon as the season started?

LIVERPOOL AGREE £35M FEE WITH ARSENAL FOR OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN AS CHELSEA LOSE OUT

Liverpool have agreed a fee of £35 million with Arsenal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who rejected Chelsea to secure a move to Anfield.

The England international is expected to undergo a medical at St George's Park ahead of finalising a five-year deal with the Reds.

23.05 BST: With under 24 hours until the transfer deadline, Arsenal are scrambling to complete a deal for PSG's Julian Draxler, according to the Mirror.

The 23-year-old Germany international has been linked with a move away from PSG since the Neymar signing and would be a way for Arsenal to justify selling Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City.

After reportedly ending their pursuit of Celtic's Moussa Dembele because of a cost, Marseille have entered the fray for Arsenal castoff Lucas Perez, sources have told ESPN FC.

Perez has been linked with a return to Spain and old cub Deportivo La Coruna and Newcastle but Marseille have reportedly joined the race for the Spaniard.

Reports from Turkey claim that Arsenal could make a late move for Besiktas playmaker Tolgay Arslan. With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the way out and Jack Wilshere maybe right behind him, Arsenal are in need of some midfield cover.

Arsenal and Leicester have both had £25 million bids rejected by West Brom for defender Jonny Evans. Evans is being pursued by those two clubs and his reported desired Manchester City but West Brom are asking for £30m for the Northern Irishman. Don't be surprised if this one goes right down to the wire.

Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi, who was linked with a move to Inter Milan over the weekend, will not be joining Inter after all.

Inter sporting director Walter Sabatini had this to say about the German international: "We won't make any more signings. It has been a pragmatic transfer campaign."Mustafi? We made an attempt, but we decided to 'recycle' someone else."

With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's move to Liverpool imminent, the Guardian's Ed Aarons has tipped the club to make a bid for Nice playmaker Jean-Michael Seri.

The 26-year-old Seri has been linked with the London club all summer long, and with Nice eliminated from the Champions League, and transfer rivals Barcelona seemingly removing him from their future plans, Seri could be destined for the Emirates, who are suddenly in need of another midfielder.

Emmanuel Petit has told Arsenal to bring Leicester's Riyad Mahrez to the club and ditch the "defeatist" Mesut Ozil. "[Mahrez] is the kind of player cruelly lacking for Arsenal down the right," he said, adding of Ozil: "If I were Arsene Wenger, I'd say: 'Get out.'" Full story.

Hahaha Petit thinks Mahrez is the answer to not leaking 4 goals a game? A player who just lets players walk past him?

ARSENAL DON'T WANT AGUERO

Arsenal have ruled out signing Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero as part of any deal which could see Alexis Sanchez head in the opposite direction, claims the Daily Mirror.

Reports have claimed that City could offer Aguero as part of their bid to persuade Arsenal to sell Alexis before the transfer window closes.

However, even if City are prepared to let Aguero go, Arsenal have no interest in signing the Argentine due to the attacking options they already have.

TOP STORY: Arsenal's Lemar deal off, Sanchez staying

Alexis Sanchez will be an Arsenal player come the close of the transfer window and Thomas Lemar will still be at Monaco.

Despite reports that Arsenal had lodged a bid of over £92 million with Monaco for Lemar, sources have since told ESPN FC that the move is now off.
