He'd be quality in a set up like Real Madrid where there's plenty of pace and quality up front.

Also, crucially in La Liga the game is more static, so it's easier for someone like Ozil to thread those balls onto the run of fast attackers.

But at Arsenal we don't have fast attackers, except Sanchez, who drifts centrally and them to two end up right next to each other, or Ozil has to go wide. Ox and Walcott don't play much.

That performance is sublime. I think the problem with people who don't like Özil is that they were either too young when Zidane was in his prime - or simply didn't see Zidane play enough to appreciate what he did. To me, Özil is the closest thing to Zidane on this planet. That bald bastard wasn't the top goalscorer, top assister, top key passer, top anything really...but that doesn't stop him from being one of the best footballers in history, if not the best (at least in my opinion).
