I just don't understand Per's thinking (he comes across as a relatively intelligent person). Worst case scenario was Costa going 1v1 and scoring. He should have never went for that challenge it was just stupid. But then of course with all this shit luck against them, it didn't stop there. Our best moments had to fall to Flamini and he had to play like a brain dead person. I was saying Per is too slow for Barca's front three and it turns out he's even slower than I thought. No way can he start that game. To be fair I was thinking the other day how Per would be removed from our starting line up, I thought he'd play this season and then Arsene would slowly move him to the bench but I think this is it. Gabriel should step up and take his spot ahead of him right now. I thought taking Giroud off was wrong to say the least. So many times we found ourselves on the wing without a target to cross it to, he's also very good on set pieces etc... Should have stayed 100%. Also a Ox for Flamini sub in the 70th minuteish would have been good, our gd is crap as it is so we should have given it everything. Cech was good, Koscielny Bellerin Monreal were fine, I liked Gabriel too, Flamini is brain dead, Ramsey was elite I salute him for today's performance did 3 man's job at least, Ozil was fine but could have been better, Theo was not good, Campbell was good, Alexis gives me hope.

Arsenal: Cech; Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Flamini, Ramsey; Campbell, Özil, Walcott; Giroud.

VS

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Azpilicueta; Mikel, Matic; Willian, Fabregas, Oscar; Costa.

I really, really hope that Flamini NEVER, EVER, EVER plays for Arsenal again.

Play El Neni, Chambers, anyone, but not him.

He's supposed to be a CDM but always ends up in striker position or somewhere else, always leaving the defense exposed. Plus he simply has no skills.

Add to that Ramsey being a goal-whore, who only cares about scoring and running anywhere but in midfield, it means we don't have ANY midfield.

It was a shit performance from everyone, especially Walcott, Mretesacker, Koscielny, but Flamini is simply Sunday league level.

In the long term one of Ozil or Ramsey has to be sold. They're both N10.

Ramsey isn't a CM. He's a number 10 / shadow striker, whatever you call him.

Has no discipline in CM. Total fucking wank.

Remember tht moment when Ramsey flicked the ball to Flamini in the box?

They are both CENTRAL MIDFIELDER and were literally playing as our strikers.

They had nothing to lose, anyways, with Ramsey and Flamini going forward, we had a much better chance of scoring, than just leaving Ozil, Sanchez, and Walcott alone up front.

We're the arsenal ffs we play that football. A sort of total football where everyone is good with the ball and gets involved. Apart form center halves and the goal keeper.

Absolute abysmal from Per. Shame it's only a one game ban because unfortunately he's going to start in the next Premier League game.

How is Flamini still a Premier League footballer? Surely Elneny can't be worse than him.

What I don't understand is why a red card is the default action in that scenario. The rules are basically saying that hindering Diego Costa to get 1on1 with Cech now means Arsenal should pay for it throughout the remainder of the game. I'd much rather take a penalty kick as punishment and let us get on with the game. We stopped them from a clear shot on goal, so they get a penalty. Just doesn't seem proportionate for 70 minutes of 11v10 being a reasonable punishment for a last man tackle.

Bandwagon much? Flamini was one of the few players on the pitch actually trying to win. He wasn't playing any worse than Ramsey, Özil, Theo, etc...but Arsenal supporters need a scapegoat and Flamini is the trend of the month (season). Yes he was out of position, but he didn't tackle Costa to get sent off. He had nothing to do with the goal. We also didn't concede more than one goal, so defensive mission accomplished from Flamini's perspective. He was getting in more scoring positions than Özil or Theo, that's for sure.

I'm so disappointed i can;t put my thoughts together... Ramsey must be sold, he doesn't have a place in this team or must not be allowed to cross the half way line. He can not control the game like Santi, he is too soft, too preoccupied with going forward and scoring goals and never has the strength to get back. Flamini is going any way, no need to mention him. Ozil can not play without support behind, i mean proper DM and a box to box player. You shouldn't ask Ozil run like a donkey, it;s not his game. Chelsea walked over us coz basically we did not have midfield. Theo plays only when he is suppose to sign new deal... AW should start the Ox instead of Campbell..Azpilicueta can't handle him, but he killed Campbell. No need to curse Costa, that's his game..we all know that.
