Let's be realistic...Mourinho is currently looking for fucks to give

Let's be realistic. José Mourinho doesn't give a fuck about where Petr Cech plays next season. He has the strongest squad in the league and infinite money to play with. He has players on loan that would walk straight into Arsenal's first XI. He's at a club that is still a tier above where we are.

Before you say 'Demba Ba', think about your argument. You are claiming that Mourinho - one of the best, or at the very least most successful, managers in the history of the sport - believed Demba Ba would have strengthened Arsenal last season. No one, including us Arsenal supporters, believed that. Proof is in the pudding: where is Demba Ba now? Exactly.

What Mourinho says and what Mourinho does are two different things. He most likely protracted the Ba loan deal so that we would focus on him instead of better targets. All it took was a 'no deal' on the phone and he had managed to troll Wenger fully. But do we honestly think this took weeks of deliberation in some calculated attempt at preventing us from winning the title? Please.

Of course he didn't want Cech to join Arsenal. But does he care? Not a chance.

Worth remembering that Arsenal's latest big name signings have all been opportunistic. Wenger has admitted that Özil was an impulse buy at the last minute, and Alexis Sanchez was an opportunity that came into his lap for lack of playing time at Barca. Cech arrived because Chelsea have a better goalkeeper and they can't guarantee Cech playing time.

We're not fighting anyone for these high profile signings yet. We're not signing players whose clubs desperately want them to stay. We're still a tier below Chelsea, and we all know it. Including Mourinho.

The interesting era will start when we're in a financial position to actually challenge Man Utd, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern, etc, for big name signings. Then, and only then, would Mourinho start giving two fucks about what Arsenal are doing. Until then, let's come back to planet earth, where Mourinho's every thought doesn't revolve around Arsenal.
