This thread has now gone on for page after page and you still don't understand the difference between wanting something and being able to afford something. You are essentially saying that no amount of money would have priced Benzema away from Real Madrid, which is laughable.

Arsenal could have signed Benzema this summer, but they didn't. Fact. Whether it was because Wenger didn't think he'd fit into our system, or if he simply didn't want to spend £60m+, who knows. But it's one of those reasons, and no other.

So according to that logic, none of the players on the planet that stayed at their clubs were for sale. Only if they move clubs they were for sale. Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Zidane, Figo...they were all for sale, because they moved clubs.
