This is most frustrating type of game, when the team open up, want to score, play good and they just fraking can't.

Because we are incapable of dealing with teams parking the bus. Until Wenger comes up with a strategy for winning against such teams, we will continue to scrap for the odd cup trophy here and there. If we want to battle for the title and enter the true top tier of football, we need to be able to handle high-pressing defensive teams.

Always makes me laugh when people think Arsene can win the CL despite constantly being shown up by any team that parks the bus.

To be fair we had more than 90% chances to score in this game, just like we did against Swansea. It's down to players to convert them and unfortunately they couldn't.

I don't really remember a clear cut chance. Stuffing as many attacking mids in the team who all like to drift centrally is ridiculous. Basic footballing knowledge. Playing narrow vs a compact side just doesn't work.

We looked a lot better once Theo came on but Sunderland fully deserved a point. They had better chances to score than we did too.

Theo had a decent shot, it was then rebounded back in the box but no one closed them down, Giroud had a fantastic effort saved, Sanchez's shot which was blocked by their central defender was pretty pretty close, they even could have scored an own goal. My point is that the selected 11 players and tactics were enough to score in that game. Our finishing has been poor for some reason in last two home games (swansea sunderland)

I don't know what you mean by breaking them down. 76% possession, 8 shots on target and 20 shots off target. That's 28 attempts in total.

Yeah but 0 goals. Possession means nothing if the opponent doesn't mind you having it. Sure, we had a few good chances, but so did Sunderland - and they only had 24% possession. I'd say that in terms of clear chances, we were pretty equal.

The tactics were off. Despite the possession and chances, we still spent most of the game passing sideways outside of their box. That's not how you win against a team parking the bus.

Hahahahahahahahahaha! Thanks for making my day.....I was indeed disappointed with the over all result but can you remind me on a CL team which has plays with 11 players in the 18 yard box? The only way to break such a team who was playing for a draw is have Messi in the team or get a deflected shot in.

We had fuckloads of chances in that game. Giroud missed absolute sitters.
