The almighty 2016-2017 summer transfer window thread

Yarmolenko is starting to talk about Everton being a better fit form him than Barca because he wants to play regularly rather than "take selfies with Messi". Never thought he would even think about leaving, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Unless he goes to Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea of course, then I'll claim I never really wanted him.

I was reading about how Walcott needs to be sold, and people think that he can bring in over 20 million pounds. Such delusion! On those wages, you'd have to pay a club to take him.

Loooool Emanuelle Gianelli is an absolute fraud

Well thats more or less all people involved in sport journalism. Yet we still use other journalist info as valid and we have heated discuss based on the given informations.

This is opposite to everything we heard last month from lot of sport TV/newspapers. So who is right. Who is fraud.

Wenger speaks of the importance of maintaining team harmony when making additions via transfer, but isn't waiting until August to try and do business disruptive to team harmony? Even if they fail to sign anyone, the players on the squad must suffer the distraction of not knowing if some player will be brought in to take their job 2 weeks into the premier league season.

If you are going to do transfer business get it done in July.

Wenger speaks of the importance of maintaining team harmony when making additions via transfer

He can speak all he wants but there is no evidence to this being true. Some clubs have added 6-7 first team players and picked up a trophy 10 months later, and some clubs have done only a few transfers over a long period and never won anything.

Exactly. It's total bullshit. What irks me the most about it is that this team is never in harmony. It's a constant crisis. Every year, they start the season with a shortage of defenders, no appealing option up top, and half the first team looking over their shoulder because of all the transfer rumors. Just get the transfer business mostly done by early July, and then take the position that if a great deal comes along, you take it.

Wenger: "money is not a problem for arsenal in the transfer market"

Agreed! Wenger and the board are what prevent arsenal from doing business!

Started reading and stopped at the "When you've lost your most senior defender and you're scrambling around for a replacement, you're panic buying."

Absolute bollocks. I can puke a better article than that.
