whoever saw this and didn't smack that guy down is a coward in my eyes.

Maybe they didn't want to get stabbed.

My theory is that these Chelsea fans had never seen statues of club legends, since they have none of their own. In the confusion, they had a collective stroke and pulled out some stickers.

Maybe they didn't want to get stabbed? Are you joking? That's as cowardly as it gets...

I 100% guarantee that you would have stood right next to them and done nothing. At the end of the day, people's survival instincts kick in. No normal human being would go up against 20 skinhead Chelsea neanderthals to defend a statue. Best approach is to choose not to be offended by the action they designed to offend you with.

And you'd be wrong. Not the first time I would have gotten in a fight and certainly not the first time I would gotten stabbed (which I wouldn't because they're a bunch of pussies). It was at our home ground ffs...... I'm ashamed so much I might go at the bridge but they have no statues...

Alright but still...why risk it? The statue has no emotional value on its own, just the value you attach. And you're in full control of that, you can decide any day that the statue has zero emotional value. I'm not arguing by the way, I just find it hard to understand the mentality where you'd risk so much for so little.

Pride, dignity? And believe me the minute you smack that guy down he's running away scared shitless.

Probably not with 19 of his mates standing next to him. If it was one lone Chelsea fan doing it I have no doubt he'd get smacked around. But 20 of them in a close group, nah...which is exactly why they were able to do it openly and without giving a fuck about their surroundings. They know very well that the only way anyone is stopping them is if they happen to be a group of equal size and aggression.

IT WAS AT THE EMIRATES THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABOUT 20K HARDORE FANS AT LEAST WHY ARE YOU TORTURING ME? :(

Has our fan base turned into such a sack of shite that 20 Chelsea fans at our home ground can deface the statue of one of the greatest man in our history without any problems?

Bring back The Herd EIE

Just telling you why I think no one stopped them. Not worth waking up in the hospital over. Why put yourself in any kind of danger over an inanimate object. Why worry your parents, why risk something over something so unimportant. It's a statue.

And I'm saying that isn't a legitimate reason. More than that, I'm saying there isn't a legitimate reason. Only cowardice.

And now there's this thing how Arsenal fans dominate twitter polls and twitter generally. When did we become sissy boys...

So, you are saying that you - as one guy alone at a match - would take on 20 fans of the opposite team without any other backup than from the complete strangers around you who's only thing you have in common (as far as you know) is the same football club?

At the Emirates? I would have taken him down. He's positioned so well too. Run at him, grab him at the waist as you run and slam him on the ground with his back. That'll knock his wind out, he won't get up for a good 10-15 seconds, 20 if he's not athletic. As for the other "20 fans of the opposite team" they won't do shit. Even if they wanted to there still won't be enough time. It also doesn't really matter if they're 20 or 5. Worst case scenario is you fall (that's when you get real damage), it's physically impossible for 20 guys to beat on you.
