Should we go three-at-the-back vs. City????
It wasn't until last game, against Middlesborough, that Wenger decided to make a dramatic change. He decided to actually change the formation from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-2-1. We were a new team and actually won a game with it.
We saw many positives in the game with our players and some weaknesses.
For positives, Oxlade-Chamberlain actually got MOTM as a wing-back, Ramsey obviously had a good game, and Holding did well for his age.
For negatives, Gabriel struggled with his one-on-ones when he had to run out wide to stop a winger. Monreal did not have the athleticism to run up and down alone and lacked the pace and stamina which Downing took advantage of to help his team score the equalizer.
Ozil and Sanchez did score the goals but did not play as well as they should have.
Now, with a club like Man City coming soon, we need to have a strong defense against them so they don't kick our butts again from poor defense.
I suggest Wenger goes for the 5-2-2-1 formation for this game so it will still have three at the back and so we have a strong defensive formation.
Xhaka is good but I think I will go for Elneny with Ramsey since they both have great stamina, passing, and movement to help our attack and defense.
