Biggest regret

Mine is simply losing the Champions League final. If we had won that game the entire football landscape would have been different today. I'm convinced that we would have been able to hold on to our best players because of that trophy, and I also believe our loss kickstarted Barca's era of dominance. We were so close, and in hindsight everything hinged on those 20 minutes.

Winning that final was the key to furthering the invincibles legacy into a new generation. Having that trophy would have counterbalanced many of our financial issues, including losing our players due to them wanting to win things. Success breeds success, and that trophy would have changed everything.

We wouldn't have lost Ashley Cole, Pires had probably stayed on for another year or two, Thierry Henry would've probably stayed at the club until retired...Hleb, Gilberto, Flamini in his prime, Adebayor...all the way up to Fabregas, Nasri and Van Persie.

I guess that's what makes football so fantastic. The fate of a club can change over the course of minutes. But lord did those 20 minutes change everything.

Yeah you're probably right that game was everything for us... And we dominated as well. It just wasn't to be.

Losing to Chelsea in the 2004 CL. We should've beat them and we would have annihilated the rest of the competition. Mourinho wouldn't have won it and maybe he'd have been stuck with injecting heroin in an alley behind a skip.

I mean since moving to the Emirates, the biggest regret has to be not winning that 07/08 title when we played amazing football with a young team. We had it in the bag and threw it away :(

Yeah! I agree to Ix, if we would have won CL final things could have been much different. Mad German cost us a decade of misery.

Henry missed multiple chances as well. He's never scored in a final I don't think.

That 2006 CL Final was all we were missing, If only.....
