Arsenal: Ospina, Chambers, Mertesacker, Gabriel, Gibbs, Coquelin, Elneny, Campbell, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud

Subs: Macey, Bellerin, Monreal, Flamini, Iwobi, Walcott, Welbeck

Welbeck and Walcott to go vs Barcelona ? But oh well thats far from now.

The reason van Persie wanted to leave is because we didn't show enough ambition. He went and won a Prem whilst Leicester are gonna win one before we do again. RE: Higuain, the money's there, why didn't we smack and extra £10m as well then? We took this piss with that £1 for Suarez, if we didn't fanny about he would've won us the League that season.

But obviously none of that is Arsene's fault despite him running the club top to bottom, guess he was unlucky with us signing no outfield players in the Summer and unlucky that his only back-ups were Flamini and Arteta.

Guess he was unlucky that a shit United side with more injuries than us had two CM's at CB and a Football Manager regen up front who tore us apart as well, super duper unlucky

That's what it all is. Luck, for sure.

We seem to be on a really unlucky or negative path. The composure to take clear chances isn't there or we hit the bars and posts or the defender gets there to intercept the final ball by 1cm. And the second goal conceded is a thumper that ends in the stands 29 times out of 30.

It's gotten to the point now where if anyone still wants Arsene in charge next season they need sectioning

So bad luck again?

I'd put it down to that. Think this and Swansea game we got tremendously unlucky not to score.

...and what about the other six games we've failed to win since mid-February?

Mid-Feb we had Leicester against who we won. Then was 0-0 against Hull (24 shots on goal, 11 on target - unlucky). Barca - loss was down to Per's inability to learn from past mistakes, otherwise a draw or a win was up for grabs. ManU - shit performance from defending point of view, deserved to lose playing like we did. Swansea - unlucky Spurs - Coq red Hull - 0:4 Watford - unlucky

Or maybe our strikers aren't good enough

Case could be made for that, sure.

which is Wenger's fault to begin with

How is it Wengers fault that Adebayor turns out to be a highly dysfunctional human beign? Or that Van Persie wants to leave? Or that Madrid has agreed to sell Higuain to us but Napoli comes and smacks an extra 10m on the table? Or that Liverpool refuses to sell Suarez?

btw remember van Persie started to question his decision the moment when we signed Santi during that pre-season period but it was too late. He had to know which financial situation the club was in at that moment because of the new stadium. What, "let's sell the club to Usmanov or some oil sheikh so we could also have a piece of the fun"? Well it ain't that kind of a club, thankfully!

Re Higuain - he himself surely had to have a say in where he was going to and agree the transfer to Napoli, nobody forces you to go anywhere. And if the player that you have agreed to buy shows that kind of attitude then I'd be put off too. For Wenger it's important that players want to play for him/this club. That's how we got Özil f.ex.

Suarez- you think this 1 quid made a difference to the outcome of this saga?

ManU - why should Gabriels clearance cockup and defensive horror-show in one game have to fall all on Wengers shoulders?

...a financial situation we put ourselves into. We could have easily taken a series of bank loans to get through that period just fine, but instead we opted for being "self-sustainable" as if you get some sort of prize for not spending money. There is nothing wrong with debt. Barca are in debt, Bayern are in debt, Real Madrid are in debt, Man Utd are in debt, Man City are in debt, Chelsea are in debt.

Re Higuain - he himself surely had to have a say in where he was going to and agree the transfer to Napoli, nobody forces you to go anywhere.

We toyed around with him and treated him like a second-choice after Suarez. He wasn't going to sit around waiting for us to make up our minds. And now it turns out he's actually a very good striker that we should have bid £35m for.

Suarez- you think this 1 quid made a difference to the outcome of this saga?

I think that if we had put £70m on the table we might have gotten him, after some persuasion. Barca didn't come into the picture until much later.

ManU - why should Gabriels clearance cockup and defensive horror-show in one game have to fall all on Wengers shoulders?

Because again: one isolated incident can be classed as misfortune, but a long series of similar incidents can only be classed as a pattern. Wenger is the one that signs, trains, picks and plays these players.

Barca is on a different planet, real madrid would always get bailed out by the country, city and chelsea in debt. lol. United are the pioneers of making huge money through sponsorship. Bayern same as madrid. and not to mention they are all dominating their respective leagues. United were. Cheslea City have billionaire owners who inject cash directly into the club. Stop comparing us to their model.

Barca is on a different planet

...but still in debt.

real madrid would always get bailed out by the country

...but still in debt.

city and chelsea in debt. lol.

Yes, both with massive debts.

United are the pioneers of making huge money through sponsorship.

True but they are still in debt. £400m last time I checked.

Bayern same as madrid.

...and both still in debt.

and not to mention they are all dominating their respective leagues.

Yes...perhaps debt has something to do with that? Being able to spend £100-150m on players every year would probably result in dominating a league. Chelsea and Man City have been doing it for years.

Cheslea City have billionaire owners who inject cash directly into the club.

As a loan, yes. Both clubs in massive debt.

Stop comparing us to their model.

What model is that...the winning one?

None of your "comebacks" were legit. Try again.
