What do you think about the new formation 3-4-3 ???

It left us fairly open at the back at some points, which led to odd defensive situations (see Negredo goal), but it was nice to see Wenger try something different. I don't think it's our version of Chelsea's magical formation shift, but having Sanchez and Ozil on the wings with Giroud in the center does have its benefits.

It suits the players we have more I think. We can play up to four midfielders which is our strength.

Yup, it suits our midfiled and also offensively.. but our backline is vulnerable at times, we need some shield in the midfield (like Kante for Chelsea) to have a better balance defensively.. we can also use Bellerin at right midfield position who could contribute both in attack as well as quick recovery in defense...

This formation need a good finisher upfront like Benzema, Higuain etc who are good in air as well... with Sanchez and Ozil in free roaming behind the Centre forward, both will cherish in this role...

How about getting Lacazette who can work very well in the formation and with our players. He may not be an aerial threat like Giroud, but he has the mobility, the talent, and the quality to be the striker we always needed since rvp.

I think the new formation is the last attempts of a desperate man to make some changes and save his job.

We already have a pacey fox-in-the-box striker in Welbeck. Lacazette isn't better.

This new formation is getting the results we want, but lacking our fluid attacking game which Arsenal is known for.

Though it may not be a very attacking formation as the 4-2-3-1, it does have freedom for the attackers which if given enough time to adapt can cause some more fluid attacking game to entertain the fans and have a greater chance of scoring more goals.

So glad we switched to this formation. I hope it will give us the result we need against Tottenham which will not only help us but also hurt them in the title race.

I just hope they beat Man U so we can have a chance to claim that top four Champions League spot.

Wouldn't say this shape suits Ozil at all, he's one of the few that seem to have a hard time adapting to it. Ox, Ramsey, Xhaka, Monreal and Holding have upped their game massively in this shape, but anyone playing CF seem to struggle and Ozil is still not finding the space he's used to. Bellerin also seem to not get the position he's playing, with Sanchez constantly screaming at him to cut inside and go forward against Stoke.

Ozil is definitely more suited to a classic #10 position.
