The almighty 2016-2017 summer transfer window thread

Yarmolenko is starting to talk about Everton being a better fit form him than Barca because he wants to play regularly rather than "take selfies with Messi". Never thought he would even think about leaving, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Unless he goes to Man Utd, Man City or Chelsea of course, then I'll claim I never really wanted him.

If Ramsey keeps on playing for purely himself and his ego I'd get rid of him and bring in someone like Verratti who would be perfect for this Arsenal team.

Verratti has come out publicly wit the opinion that arsenal are 2nd rate. I highly doubt someone as easily offended and prideful as wenger would even bother trying to woo some one who spoke negatively of him.

I would like to think that now we are in the financial position we are, that any bids for a player we didn't want to leave would just simply be rebuffed.

There isn't a better player than Ozil in what he does so no point selling him for and I doubt he'll ever join the Chinese. Ramsey does seem to have lost discipline and it's worrying. Everyone saying Santi was crap should apologize right now. To me obviously and to Santi.

In the Summer I'd like to see a winger come in. Mahrez will be ideal.

Ramsey leave his heart on the pitch, one of few players that even when is in bad form contribute to the team and he never stop trying. I wonder if you people watch other sport (ballet maybe) and comment on Arsenal games/players.

If Ramsey truly cared about the team & not himself he wouldn't abandon Flamini for 90 mins every match.

Mahrez & Kante are must gets. Unbelievable footballers.

Would be so embarrassing if Leicester won the League. Trotting out the excuse about oil clubs, financial distortion when Leicester spend less than we ever did during the transition period with lesser players than we had at our disposal as well. Oh well, Wenger Knows obviously

No it won't because Leicester will fall apart (but they won't win the league nor finish above us) and we'll continue being an elite club which was achieved through this transition period.

And if they do?

No bc arsenal will throw away Points in a most profligate fashion.

Arsenals chances come down to whether everyone else is even more wasteful down the stretch.

What you're saying is that they will win every remaining league fixture. That's a bit more than "a brilliant run".

They should have been runaway champions this year, but instead, they make things difficult with their wastefulness. I think the primary culprit is the failure to recruit any reinforcements last summer.

If you have heard Arsene few times, Ramsey has freedom to try and penetrate centrally. Christ, if we had Pogba here people would cry to sell him because he move over the half. Where this thinking come from Graham era? We have more problem scoring then conceding stupid goals. I assume with your logic KOS is worst player and dont care about Arsenal at all. Central back and he bomb forward every game.

Ramsey is an elite midfielder but I have to say he has been having some discipline problems. He should be the key player in our transition from defense to offense but he's been busy staying up to get involved in the final third rather than help bring the ball up. Makes Santi's injury even a bigger issue.

I think Ramsey is most helpful to the team on the wing, but that could be attributed to the lack of quality wingers who can play both ways in this squad.

I think if this talk of barca paying 50 million pounds for him are true, they should listen.

I don't really give a crap abt the summer transfer window. If they fail to win the league this year, they will have to worry more about their own elite players leaving, rather than acquiring new players.
