Posted by Ix Techau about 7 years ago · 461 replies

Squad rules terminology refresher:

  • We can register up to 25 players who are over 21
  • We can register a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players
  • Homegrown player means 36 months spent in England before end of season in which they turn 21
  • U21 player means any player born on or after January 1st 1996
  • U21 players don't have to be registered in order to play, which means we can have as many as we want

Confirmed transfers in/out:

  • Lacazette has signed for a club record £46m initial fee
  • Sanogo left on a free transfer on June 30th
  • Kolasinac joined on a free transfer on July 1st
  • Ospina has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Lucas Perez has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Wojciech Szczesny has joined Juventus for £10m

Likely transfers in/out:

  • Debuchy leaving has been on the cards for some time
  • Jenkinson could go on another season-long loan or permanent move
  • Unless said in jest, Wenger did say he wants to bid on Mahrez

Reading some of the suggestions that were posted here... Looks like Arsenalreport has finally gone full retard. Bring back Cesc? Young players will look up to him? To who? The cunt who stabbed us in the back? Cretins.

ARSENAL SET FOR £200M OVERHAUL

Arsenal will have upwards of £100 million – perhaps closer to £200m – to spend in the summer transfer window, with Arsene Wenger expected to be the man to use the funds as part of a squad overhaul, the Mirror reports.

The report states Wenger will sign a new two-year deal at the Emirates and could oversee the sale of Jack Wilshere, Olivier Giroud, David Ospina, and Lucas Perez to name a few, as the Gunners look to put together a massive transfer kitty and get serious about challenging for major silverware.

ARSENAL WANT OVERMARS

Arsenal are intent on appointing their first ever director of football at the club, with Marc Overmars the leading candidate to fill the position, the Daily Mail reports.

The report states that the Gunners are looking to shake things up behind the scenes, with potential candidates set to take charge of the club's transfer business as well as its footballing ethos.

Arsenal are also said to be admirers of Dortmund director Michael Zorc.

I've heard and I'm really impressed in how he plays. Just watch a video on him and you can see what a beast he is. Literaly.

Now that we have a left-back early, we need to go look for a striker. Lacazette seems the most likely to come to us if we pounce on him early before we get more competition

When Sanchez signed, I thought it was going to be the beginning of something special. But he and Cazorla just ended up carrying this team on their backs. Not because there isn't enough quality in the squad, but because it is managed by a moron of a manager.

No big player will want to join Arsenal knowing that he'll only end up carrying a bunch of donkeys on his back and work under a senile manager. Plus no Champions League. So, they'll have offer huge transfer feees plus huge salaries to attract top talent.

Sanchez, Cazorla joined Arsenal because of that moron of a Manager.. I agree there are some players who are not good enough to play for Arsenal and they need to be shown the door...

So called 'Special One' need to pay world record fee and huge wages in order to attract a big player (!!??!!), so all the top players need to be paid huge money in this inflated transfer market..

Or maybe like Tottenham, get players that are fine with their contract that have potential and create success consistently to make them happy to stay no matter what price.

That way, we show that we are not desperate for them to be on our side so we can get the best out of them.

We carry too many donkeys while you can't find one donkey in Tottenham at all. That shows how much behind we are.

Embarrasing actually

Spurs squad was 92% donkey before poch. Just goes to show you how much difference a dynamic, modern manager will make for your squad.

We need that. Wenger was good and is our best manager yet. If we get the right person, he will be a hero since Wenger did a lot of dirty work such as keeping the club in profit, moving us to the new stadu=ium, paying for the new stadium, and a lot more.

I still have respect for him but when Arsenal last finished below Tottenham, we sacked the manager and got the man we know today. Next season, we need a new man that will give us our glory again.

If we by some miracle keep Alexis & Özil:

Szczesny; Bellerin, Mustafi, Koscielny, Kolasinac; Xhaka; Naby Keita - Cyprien/Matuidi; Özil, Alexis, Mbappe

Dreamworthy stuff

but the worst thing is we need to pay huge money to get those targets (more than the player's actual valuation)

Nowadays Transfer market is ruled by Player's agents... They inflate the value very drastically...

I still wonder, how does Higuain and Pogba deserves €90m and €100m respectively ?????

No
Uh, "no"...

Pogba will be one of the world's best CM's for the best part of a decade and Higuain guaranteed a title win for Juve as well as potentially winning the CL.

Worth every penny for their respective clubs

What's sad is we could have gotten Pogba for free. But, he chose Juventus at the last minute. Would have been amazing for us.
