Posted by Ix Techau about 7 years ago · 461 replies

Squad rules terminology refresher:

  • We can register up to 25 players who are over 21
  • We can register a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players
  • Homegrown player means 36 months spent in England before end of season in which they turn 21
  • U21 player means any player born on or after January 1st 1996
  • U21 players don't have to be registered in order to play, which means we can have as many as we want

Confirmed transfers in/out:

  • Lacazette has signed for a club record £46m initial fee
  • Sanogo left on a free transfer on June 30th
  • Kolasinac joined on a free transfer on July 1st
  • Ospina has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Lucas Perez has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Wojciech Szczesny has joined Juventus for £10m

Likely transfers in/out:

  • Debuchy leaving has been on the cards for some time
  • Jenkinson could go on another season-long loan or permanent move
  • Unless said in jest, Wenger did say he wants to bid on Mahrez

Reading some of the suggestions that were posted here... Looks like Arsenalreport has finally gone full retard. Bring back Cesc? Young players will look up to him? To who? The cunt who stabbed us in the back? Cretins.

Wouldn't have been good for the kid to be at Real so early. Wouldn't have gotten the game time he needed to become of the best around.

Put Alexis as the striker with Ramsey with Ozil. After that, put Oxlade-Chamberlain next to Xhaka. Boom!

Arsenal remain reluctant to improve the new contract terms offered to Mesut Ozil due to concerns regarding the German's commitment to the club, according to the Daily Mail.

The report claims the midfielder, who has been struggling for form of late, has refused to sign a deal worth £250,000 per week, instead holding out for closer to £300,000.

Ozil is not worth that money. He doesn't deserve it. I'd rather sell him and buy someone to replace him. Pjanic, Isco, Siggurdson, Forsberg, and maybe have Iwobi play more centrally instead of out wide.

50 million could easily buy most of the above and it would be wise to do something now before we also loose Sanchez too and we are left with no world-class talent at all.

Looks like clubs will have to meet Belotti's €100 million release clause. There's reports Arsenal made a €60 million bid that was rejected.

With Ozil's performances this year he's definitely shown he's not worth that much money. I hope we can sell him and replace him, but the problem will be finding a buyer that's willing to pay market value for him.

Pjanic, Bernado Silva, Isco could replace him.

If no one is willing to pay a price, that price is clearly not market value. Everyone knows Ozil will be available on a free in 2018, and will be 30. Who is going to pay an inflated transfer fee in that situation?

Manchester United's manager Jose Mourinho who Ozil used to play for

The players aren't the issue. Our squad is currently good enough to compete for the title, we just have a below average manager. Özil, Alexis (whose been shit since 2017) and co would be unbelievable under a good manager

maybe welcome back Cesc to pull the strings from midfield???

I agree. He did come to us because he knew how predictable the whole season would have been. Also, it would be a huge motivation for younger players to look up to one of our top academy talents so they can work to be our future.

Perhaps, instead of Fabregas, we get Emil Forsberg who is leading every top league in Europe with assists. That's more than Ozil this season if you add his goals and assists.

Fabregas can run the midfield like Cazorla and can bail out when Ozil has been shut by opposition...

He is also good at defensive contribution which is often lacked by many of the best playmakers today.

Are you guys seriously discussing bringing Fabrecunt back? That snake can rot on the Chelsea bench for eternity. The guy forced his way out of the club by going on strike. Not the kind of player we want, and not the kind of behaviour we want to reward by offering contracts.

He is an option but we could sign a younger player that can fill in Cazorla's boots and not be one of our could of signed
