2017-2018 Summer Transfer Window

Posted by Ix Techau about 7 years ago · 461 replies

Squad rules terminology refresher:

  • We can register up to 25 players who are over 21
  • We can register a maximum of 17 non-homegrown players
  • Homegrown player means 36 months spent in England before end of season in which they turn 21
  • U21 player means any player born on or after January 1st 1996
  • U21 players don't have to be registered in order to play, which means we can have as many as we want

Confirmed transfers in/out:

  • Lacazette has signed for a club record £46m initial fee
  • Sanogo left on a free transfer on June 30th
  • Kolasinac joined on a free transfer on July 1st
  • Ospina has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Lucas Perez has asked to be put on the transfer list
  • Wojciech Szczesny has joined Juventus for £10m

Likely transfers in/out:

  • Debuchy leaving has been on the cards for some time
  • Jenkinson could go on another season-long loan or permanent move
  • Unless said in jest, Wenger did say he wants to bid on Mahrez

Reading some of the suggestions that were posted here... Looks like Arsenalreport has finally gone full retard. Bring back Cesc? Young players will look up to him? To who? The cunt who stabbed us in the back? Cretins.

Di Marzio is pretty God Tier all things Italy.Expecting Wilsh, Szczesny, Ospina, Chambers, Debuchy, Joel Campbell, Lucas and Jenks all to go. Would love to keep Szczesny but the rest I couldn't really give a fuck about anymore. Also would love for Theo to finally fuck off and maybe Giroud might leave as well, but I'd like to keep him as an impact sub

As we 're into Thursday night games this season, we can't sell all of Debuchy/Jenkinson/Chambers and need to have squad strength...

So I would keep Wilshere, Szczesny and Chambers

And sell Ospina, Debuchy, Joel Campbell, Lucas, Jenkinson and either of Walcott or Giroud

Wojciech Szczesny is set to join Juventus after agreeing a deal in principle with the Italian champions. Juventus and Arsenal are in the final stages of concluding the deal with the fee expected to be around £10m.

The Polish international will sign a long-term contract and earn almost £70,000 a week. Szczesny, 27, has spent the past two seasons at Roma and is now ready to permanently leave the London club he joined in 2009.

I don't get this new thing about selling Chambers...why the fuck would we do that? Debuchy, Jenkinson, Joel, Ospina and Perez can fuck right off but why sell a great CB prospect like Chambers?

Ofcourse absolute shit it's.. coz Chambers can cover two positions at the back and he's still young to develop into a great in the future...

£10m seems too cheap, doesn't it? Would have thought we could get a lot more. In any case I'm sad to lose him.

Yeah I don't get it. In this market he should go for around £30m based on his last season alone. So ok, he wanted to leave...does that bring a transfer fee down by £20m??

Juventus got better of the deal... Less price and good talent to replace Gigi..

wouldn't be the summer if there wasn't the perpetual rumor of us going for Benzema.

How the hell Elneny turns down offers for Arsenal now. Maybe this is why we get such low value out of players, we let them negotiate for Arsenal fee and own salary.

Doubt Real will let him go now that Chelsea have signed Morata, unless they get another striker beforehand. Also not sure if he's the best purchase now that we have Laca.

After seeing Chelsea transfer Morata for just £60m and ManU get Lukaku for £75m I feel we've again went for good and not great. I doubt Lacazette will perform better than these two.

All three are good transfers and have good chances to become leading goalscorers for their clubs..

sign lemar and goretzka, then spend the rest of the transfer period selling and/or scouring for cheap deals.
